Performance Evaluation of HF Miniloop Antenna Model MLA-1B.

Abstract

The U. S. Army Security Agency Test and Evaluation Center tested the MLA-1B Miniloop Antenna performance and measured its technical characteristics. The MLA-1B survived heat, cold, rain, dust, and wind environments without damage. Point-to-point communications were established over distances up to and exceeding 800 miles. The antenna patterns and bandwidth were measured and recorded. Safety, human factors, maintenance, and other man-equipment considerations were evaluated.
