Cooled Metal Laser Mirrors - State-of-the-Art Review.

Abstract

This report is a state-of-the-art review of cooled metal laser mirror technology. The design philosophy and parametric tradeoffs underlying cooled laser mirror designs are presented. Various construction aspects of cooled metal laser mirrors are discussed, along with the fabrication techniques employed in the assembly of the mirror. Areas that need further developmental work are reviewed, and recommendations for specific study and development efforts are made to deal with future laser mirror requirements. (Author)
