Remote Sensor Management Study.
Abstract
The findings resulting from investigations into the operational management requirements, responsibilities and the methodology for accounting for remote sensor assets within the Amphibious Forces and the Fleet Marine Forces are discussed in this report. Recommended management and control procedures, flow diagrams showing functions, computer utilization and input/output formats are presented. Recommendations on report, control, request and display forms for the sensor system are presented along with proposed form formats. Information related to the use of shipboard and/or shore-based computers to provide analysis of sensor data as part of existing tactical intelligence systems is presented. The proposed management procedures and sensor inventory control data forms are compatible with existing Marine Corps and Navy supply system requirements. (Author)
