Flight Test Results for an Instrumented TER-9 Bomb Rack

Abstract

This report documents the design, buildup, and flight test results of a TER-9 bomb rack instrumented to obtain aircraft/weapon separation data. Actual test results are presented for 43 MK82 bombs released from an F-4D aircraft during the Close Air Support System (CLASS) program conducted at Holloman AFB, New Mexico. Measured TER-9 release parameters are examined to determine possible separation abnormalities which might have significant effects on bombing accuracy.
