Abstract

This document is an overview of the NELC IR and IED programs. It summarizes the accomplishments achieved within each project in FY73. Longer articles are presented on four of the most significant projects-lower ionospheric physics, natural language development, small ship electronics systems-CPA calculator, and transform source encoding techniques for bandwidth reduction in digital image transmission.
