Miniature Molecular Frequency Source.

Abstract

The initial investigations on a miniature molecular frequency source are discussed. Studies on a small sealed-off CO2 laser, modulator, external control cell and detector schemes are described. Calculations have been performed to estimate the detector sensitivity at 300 K. Preparations for laboratory tests, laser sealing techniques and initial assembly of the modecular frequency source are currently being studied. (Author) Preparations for laboratory tests, laser sealing techniques and initial assembly of the molecular frequency source are currently being studied. (Author)
