Receiver for Electromagnetic Walsh Waves.

Abstract

A number of theoretical papers on nonsinusoidal electromagnetic waves, particularly Walsh waves, were published during the last years. This report describes an experimental receiver and gives test results. The two main reasons for the development of this equipment are the better Doppler resolution in radar and the possibility to discriminate a reflected wave from a scattered wave. This feature permits to distinguish, e.g., a radar decoy reflector from an ICBM in empty space. An oscillogram is included to show that the difference is very conspicuous. (Author)
