Model Development and BMD Criteria. Phase VII.

Abstract

Based on the results of the non-nuclear homing interceptor study performed for the currrent effort it is recommended that the non-nuclear interceptor performance model be modified and applied to various guidance modes such as homing and command guidance using monostatic and trilateral radar concepts. It is also recommended that the models be modified and applied to include the effects of RV slowdown and to give the requirements for effective SLBM intercept. Using the result of the current study of non-nuclear interceptor requirements a study of the overall practicality and cost effectiveness of non-nuclear intercept should be undertaken.
