Measurement of Blast Waves Inside a Model Shelter.

Abstract

This test program was conducted to measure the air blast loads imparted internally to a one-tenth scale, rigid-body, replica model of a foreign aircraft shelter. Three different size scaled explosive charges were detonated at various locations inside the shelter. Eight channels of transient pressure measurements were recorded in each of 52 experiments. Peak pressures, times of arrival, and time durations were obtained from the pressure-time records. All the data are presented along with observations and conclusions drawn from the generated data.
