Chemlight Ampoule.

Abstract

The shelf life and container problems plagued the chemical light system from its inception. The CPPO/activator system is dissolved in solvents which attack most packaging materials under conditions of elevated temperature. Therefore, the container plays a significant role in the shelf life of this system and negates the system's usefulness if defective. A double interlocking neutral glass ampoule was designed and fabricated at NAD Crane to alleviate the container problem which concurrently solved the shelf life problem. (Author)
