Development of a 1093 C (2000 F) Prototype Microphone Transducer.

Abstract

A program for the development of a 1093 C (2000 F) prototype microphone transducer is described in this Final Report. The report describes the objectives, goals, and priorities of the development program, the research efforts, the design and fabrication of the microphone and its testing, calibration and use. The program conclusions as well as recommendations for future programs are also included. The working microphone system which resulted from this program has a sensor fabricated from a high strength and oxidation resistant research alloy and utilizies special high temperature instrumentation cable. The microphone uses the eddy-current transduction technique.
