Shipboard Evaluation of a Carlson Mark 10 Chlorinator/Macerator Sanitary Waste-Water Treatment System

Abstract

A technical evaluation of the Carlson Mark 10 chlorinator/macerator sanitary waste-water treatment system aboard USS FIDELITY (MSO 443) has been completed. The evaluation was to determine compliance with effluent quality standards set forth in MIL-S-24201B (SHIPS) and to obtain reliability and maintainability information. The system treated 16,600 gallons of waste water during the 1150-hour test.
