Aerodynamic Control Effectiveness of a Cruciform Trailing Edge Controlled Vehicle at High Subsonic Mach Numbers Using Individual Flap Effectiveness. Book 1.

Abstract

This report documents the technique and results of describing the aerodynamic control effectiveness of a cruciform trailing edge controlled vehicle using the effectiveness of each of the four control surfaces. It is shown that one or two flaps can be used to obtain data in the wind tunnel, and equations can then be used to relate those data to the other flaps not tested. This report consists of two books. Book 1 contains the basic text and Appendixes A to F. Book 2 contains Appendixes G to L. (Author)
