Drone Control and Data Retrieval System (DCDRS). Preliminary Design Study Final Report. Volume II. System Design. Part III. RCC Data Processing Hardware Subsystem Design Description.
Abstract
The data processing equipment for DCDRS consists of the H5118M militarized processor coupled through four Interleave Control Units (ICU) to a variety of peripheral equipment. The system configuration is modularized such that identical equipment can be used to satisfy the basic as well as the maximum RCC requirements. The interleave Control Unit (ICU) is a microprogrammed controller which simplifies the interfacing requirements of a variety of peripheral equipments with the processor. The peripheral equipment includes disc memories, magnetic tape units, high speed printers, plasma display panels, teletypewriter, cartridge tape unit, digitizer, enroute consoles, terminal control consoles, TADIL B modem, WCC modem, demodulator, and Theta detectors.
