Drone Control and Data Retrieval System (DCDRS). Preliminary Design Study. Volume II. System/Subsystem Summary Report. Part VI. Appendixes H through K.

Abstract

This report describes the results of a six-month study to define a concept for a Drone Control and Data Retrieval System (DCDRS) to command and control multiple remotely piloted vehicles (RPV's) over a wide range of missions. The report presents recommended system configurations and describes the subsystems and equipment modules which make up the system. Included are the results of the tradeoff studies and analyses which led to the recommended concept. The design considerations, hardware implementation, and DCDRS operations and interfaces with other tactical systems are described. A program plan for subsequent phases of the program is presented showing schedules and relative costs. (Author)
