Environmental Test of the Munitions Transfer Truck, A/S32K-5.

Abstract

This report presents the results of the environmental test of the Munitions Transfer Truck, A/S32K-5. The following environmental tests were performed according to MIL-STD-810B: (1) Low Temperature, (2) High Temperature, and (3) Rain. The vehicle successfully completed the high temperature and rain tests, with minor discrepancies, however, the low temperature test resulted in only partial success, primarily because of hydraulic leaks and a sticking valve. The transportability features of the Munitions Transfer Truck on a C-130 aircraft, flat bed truck and railroad flat car were also evaluated. (Author)
