Topology Model of the Flow around a Submarine Hull Form

Abstract

A topology model constructed from surface-streamer visualisation describes the flow around a generic conventional submarine hull format pure yaw angles of 0 degrees, 10 degrees and 18 degrees. The model is used to develop equations for sway-force and yaw-moment coefficients whichrelate to the hull-form geometry and the flow circulation around the submarine.
