Abstract

This TOP prescribes procedure and guidance for testing tires individually in the laboratory and on vehicles. Topics covered include tire storage, test preparation, mounting and dismounting, inspections, break-in, and test analysis. Test types include force and moment, rolling resistance, steer frequency response, load-deflection curves, characteristics, endurance, and several on-vehicle tests.
