DDML Schema Validation

Abstract

This document describes the results of the IRIG schema validation task performed under the direction of the RCC TG Data MUX committee. To meet the task objective, a set of user stories, test cases, and instance documents was defined over a subset of intended functionality. The purpose of this task is to create a method for performing IRIG XML schema validation. As opposed to XML instance document validation that determines if an XML instance document conforms to a schema, this method is used to validate that the XML schema can model the scenarios it was intended to support. This task includes validation of the current schemas and the creation of a framework and methodology through which future versions of the schema can be thoroughly validated prior to release.
