Comparison of Sleep Models for Score Fatigue Model Integration

Abstract

The objective of this work was to validate three sleep prediction models using empirical data from the open source literature. The following sleep models were implemented and verified: Two-Process Model of Sleep Regulation by Acherman and Borbley, Three-Process Model of Alertness by Akersteds group, and Sleep/Wake Behavior Model by Darwents group. The sleep models were extracted from the main program and tested against normal conditions and shift work schedules. The most appropriate model was selected based on generated results.
