Northeast Florida Regional Sediment Management: Implementation Strategies and Recommendations for Nassau County and Duval County, Florida

Abstract

This technical report provides a description of Regional Sediment Management (RSM) investigations performed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, along Floridas northeast coast in Nassau and Duval Counties. Provided first is an overview of the study area, including previous RSM activities, pertinent studies, and stakeholder discussions. Next is a discussion of the various Federal projects in the study area, including authorization, funding, and permitting. Finally, management alternative strategies are provided for each project, as well as recommendations for future actions to improve management of the sediments.
