Integrated Eye Tracking and Neural Monitoring for Enhanced Assessment of Mild TBI

Abstract

During the Year 3 POP (08 MAR 2015 07 MAR 2016), data collection for the pilot study (n=30) was completed. HRPO approval for the primary study was received and data collection commenced. To date, 27 participants have been enrolled in the primary study. Continued recruitment efforts, including initiation of collaborative efforts with the Center for Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine (CNRM), have helped to increase enrollment in the second half of Year 3. Administrative and technical delays were encountered at the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE), but these delays are nearing resolution and we anticipate the initiation of the neuroimaging portion of the study early in Year 3. The fMRI task has been completed and is in beta testing. Key milestones are behind schedule by approximately 4 quarters, but we are attempting to make up time through accelerated recruitment efforts and data collection for the primary study.
