Risky sexual behavior is associated with the continuing spread of AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. Research in the area of sexuality has only recently begun to consider variables other than general knowledge and attitudes about sex to explain a range of complex sexual behaviors. This study examined the relationship between safer sex thoughts, gender, sexual arousal, and sexual outcome variables.
