Hyperbaric Normothermic Perfusion Mitigates Reperfusion Injury in Porcine VCA

Abstract

Summary. Hyperbaric normothermic perfusion reliably extends the ischemic period tolerable to tissue composites compared to the current gold standard. Ischemic and cold-preservation injuries are mitigated. This has application in VCA and solid organ transplantation expand donor pool, superior matches for transplant candidates.
