Modeling and Theoretical Analysis of On-Chip Phase-Sensitive Amplifiers

Abstract

We performed a theoretical study of phase-sentisitive amplification in semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs), so as to support and orient the experimental activity lead by other project partners. A major outcome of our research is the development of a model for multi-wavelength mixing in semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs) based on coupled-mode equations.
