The financial crisis in the United States constitutes an ominous threat to national security. The economic instrument of power represents the essential foundation for the pillars of diplomatic, informational, and military strength. Given the severity of the crisis, no governmental department or agency is immune from scrutiny, and comprehensive decisions are in order to get the budget under control.
