EA 18G Growler Aircraft (EA 18G)

Abstract

The EA-18G Growler Aircraft (EA-18G) is the fourth major variant of the F/A-18 family of aircraft. The EA-18G serves as the Navy's replacement for the EA-6B providing a capability to detect, identify, locate, and suppress hostile emitters. The EA-18G provides organic accurate emitter targeting for employment of onboard suppression weapons such as High-Speed Anti -Radiation Missile. The EA-18G aircraft is a missionized F/A-18F airframe coupled with the integration of its primaryAirborne Electronic Attack systems that include the ALQ-99 Tactical Jamming System pods, AN/ALQ-218 Receiver, Communication Countermeasures Set with functionality equivalent to the USQ-113, and the Multi-Mission Advanced Tactical Terminal.
