The Army of God and Militant Islamists: Potential BFFS

Abstract

The recent arrest and statements made in September 2010 of Justin Carl Moose, the self-professed Christian counterpart to Osama bin Laden, regarding the use of Muslim terror tactics to accomplish anti-abortion objectives opened the door for inquiry about the willingness of the Army of God (AOG) to potentially cooperate with militant Islamic groups. 2 While this could seem a mutually beneficial opportunity, it is highly unlikely that such a cooperative effort might be established, let alone sustained. This research largely focuses on the Army of God and examines the common ground which might support such a linkage, as well as explores the large degree of evidence preventing such a union to occur.
