Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Non Line of Sight Chemical Detection Final Report

Abstract

This study describes the development and demonstration of a quadcopter unmanned aircraft system that is used to perform point detection of chemical warfare agents and collection of vapor, liquid, and solid samples. A modular payload system was developed, and prototypes of several modules were fabricated. Capability demonstrations of the payload system and prototypes, without direct visibility (non-line-of-sight), were conducted.
