The Continued Need for USAF Light Attack post OEF/OIF: A Survey of West African Infrastructure to Support Tactical Air Operations

Abstract

As the USAF transitions to post-OIF/OEF operations there is a continued need for a light attack platform to augment legacy fighter assets. The growth of transnational terrorism in West Africa significantly increases the likelihood that the USAF will be called to support tactical operations in this area.
