Semi Automated Ferrous Material Scouring System (SAFMSS)

Abstract

The project was focused on developing a Semi-Autonomous System that could be utilized for the remediation of large scale range clearing projects. The major goals associated with the development of this system were to: increase the speed of range clearing operations; improve personnel safety by removing workers from dangerous areas; and, decrease cost to the government by decreasing personnel costs and days to completion.
