Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction: Air Force Roles and Responsibilities

Abstract

The U.S. Army leadership met at the Army War College for its Unified Quest 2013 wargame in February of this year. As that group discussed how the Army would address its future challenges beyond 2020, one of the topics on which the group focused was how to counter weapons of mass destruction (WMD). Among other tasks, the scenario called for the capability to eliminate the WMD program of a failed state.
