Collaborative Research to Optimize Warfighter Nutrition (CROWN)

Abstract

Background: The projects overarching objective is to discover novel strategies that promote Warfighter resilience, improve Warfighter combat readiness, and assure optimal Warfighter performance. Specifically, this project provides for the most efficient and cost-effective execution of the Department of Defense (DoD) objectives to ensure a healthy and fit fighting troop base, ready for deployment and resilient to the stressors of duty. This project continues and sustains the collaborative alliance that has been forged between USARIEM and the Pennington Biomedical Research Center (PBRC) since 1988.
