The Average Change in Facial Height Following Bilateral Sagittal Split Osteotomy Advancement in Class II Patients

Abstract

Purpose: To evaluate the change in facial height in skeletal Class II patients following a BilateralSagittal Split Osteotomy advancement procedure treated in the Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program and the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program. Methods: Pre-treatment and post-surgical lateral cephalometric radiographs reconstructed from 30 cone beam computed tomograms were obtained for 16 Class II subjects who underwent mandibular advancement surgery via bilateral sagittal split osteotomy. The lateral cephalograms were digitized and analyzed using Dolphin Imaging software. Results: Pending. Conclusion: Pending .
