A Naval Postgraduate Dental School Analysis Of Initial Endodontic Treatment

Abstract

Introduction: Initial non-surgical endodontic treatment is associated with high healing rates and clinical success. The literature contains numerous studies that examine the outcomes of initial endodontic treatment. Multiple patient and treatment variables have been reported to affect endodontic outcomes. Purpose: The purpose of this retrospective study was to evaluate the outcomes of initial endodontic treatment performed by U.S. Navy endodontists and endodontic residents. A secondary analysis of covariate factors was performed to determine the effect on endodontic outcomes.
