Specialty and Systems Engineering Supplement to IEEE 15288.1

Abstract

This document provides space-specific requirements for specialty engineering to be implemented in addition to the IEEE15288.1 requirements. This 2017 revision supersedes SMC-T-006 (2015). Changes include: clarifies Mission Critical Fault Analysis (MCFA) and Test Like You Fly (TLYF) that were addressed in generic terms in IEEE 15288.1, reinforces the need to conduct program trades with a balance of technical, cost, and schedule considerations.
