A Rare Case of Periampullary Tumor

Abstract

Gangliocytic paraganglioma is a rare tumor that can affect anywhere in the gastrointestinal tract, though most are frequently found in the second portion of the duodenum. They commonly present with abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding, or rarely with obstructive jaundice. This is a case of an asymptomatic periampullary gangliocytic paraganglioma.
