Triple Track: A New Paradigm for Developing Air Force Officers

Abstract

Officer development is critical to ensuring the United States Air Force will meet the growing demands of the future joint force. The current officer development structure is driven by the assignment process and promotion requirements. Although there are merits to the existing officer development structure, it lacks the development focus to adequately prepare the next generation of leaders to maintain AF mission alignment with the evolving needs of the COCOMs.
