The Job Assessment Software System (JASS) and a Strategy for Integrating Output into the Improved Performance Research Integration Tool (IMPRINT)

Abstract

This report describes the history and current implementation of the Job Assessment Software System (JASS) developed by the US Army Research Laboratory. It then compares elements of JASS with the Improved Performance Research Integration Tool (IMPRINT) and makes recommendations for how the 2 tools could interact to allow analysts to conduct assessments of personnel skills and abilities with the requirements of tasks and jobs under analysis. Recommendations include adding a new average-workload-over-time report to IMPRINT, developing a file export capability in JASS, developing a JASS import capability in IMPRINT, and creating a library of JASS profiles for US military specialties.
