Burner Rig Testing Of A500(Restricted) C/SiC

Abstract

A dedicated experimental test program characterized the durability behavior of A500(Restricted) C/SiC ceramic matrix composite material at room and elevated temperature. Specimens were exposed to salt fog and then burner rig thermal cycles. This report describes the conditioning and the residual tensile behavior after exposure.
