Advanced Technologies for Extreme Conditions (ATEC)

Abstract

Develop Enabling Adaptive Optic (AO) Technologies that Allow/Improve future Warfighter Capabilities. Focus areas will Include: 1) Investigating the Fundamentals of Deep Turbulence and Developing Technologies to Overcome its Impact; 2) Developing Concepts/Techniques for Mitigating the Degradation of Current AO Systems Under Rapidly Changing Atmospheric Conditions; 3) Develop Concepts/Techniques to Lessen the Impact of Sodium Beacon Spot Elongation on AO Performance.
