Oil-Impregnated Oxide Nanostructures for Aluminum Corrosion Prevention
Abstract
The major drawback of current passivation techniques for preventing corrosion is the lack of the ability to withstand any external damages or local defects. We have developed an oil-impregnated nanoporous anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) layer that can overcome such limitations and so advances corrosion protection.
