2017 Military Investigation and Justice Experience Survey: Overview Report

Abstract

The Military Investigation and Justice Experience Survey is an anonymous survey designed to assess the investigative and legal processes experienced by military members that have made a report of sexual assault, have gone through the military investigation process, and who have agreed to voluntarily participate in this survey. The 2016-2017 MIJES reflects the attitudes and opinions of 371 military members who brought forward a report of sexual assault to military officials and completed the military justice process from investigation to case closure.
