Detecting Relations and Anomaly in Text and Speech (DRATS)
Abstract
Our project is called DRATS (Detecting Relations and Anomaly in Text and Speech). Most of our tasks have revolved around an analysis of the human participants in communications and in reported events. Specifically, we have concentrated on two areas of investigation. Cognitive State: What is going on in peoples minds? We have concentrated specifically on belief and sentiment: who believes what, with what degree of certitude, and who has what sentiment towards what? Cognitive Relations: How are people related to each other? We have investigated power, influence, community endorsement, and social networks, in general. In addition, we have also addressed some core information extraction tasks.
