Abstract

One of the primary thrusts of military medical research and development has been the treatment of post-traumatic hemorrhage and the systemic effects of hemorrhagic shock. The development of acute coagulopathy of trauma shock is a relatively frequent event that causes significant morbidity and mortality among injured service members.
