Army Efforts to Enhance Soldier and Team Performance

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to perform an independent assessment of current and future Soldier enhancement techniques the Army may adopt as long-term practices. These included the advances in biological, biomedical, and pharmaceutical technologies as they apply to the Army. The study team recommended the Army charter an integrated product team to conduct a one-year Human Performance Study to explore the potential of performance optimization and enhancement technologies. The team also advocated for a focused effort to develop intelligence assessments of adversary capabilities in human performance optimization and enhancement technology.
