Bootloader Application Transition Failure Investigation

Abstract

GVR-BOT customers have been having issues with internal circuit boards getting stuck in bootloadermode, waiting for reflash. An investigation was made and the root cause was found to be the loss of power to internal boards during the bootloader to application software transition. Four categories of failure mode were found and explained. A software solution is proposed.
