2018 Service Academy Gender Relations Survey: Overview Report

Abstract

This report provides results of the 2018 Service Academy Gender Relations Survey conducted by the Health and Resilience Division within the Office of People Analytics. This survey is ninth of a series of surveys mandated by U.S. Code 10, as amended by Section 532 of the John Warner National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2007. It assesses the incidence of unwanted sexual contact, sexual harassment, and related issues at the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, and the U.S. Air Force Academy. The survey results include incidence rates of unwanted sexual contact, sexual harassment, and gender discrimination; a discussion of students' perceptions of Academy culture with respect to unwanted sexual contact and sexual harassment; and the availability and effectiveness of sexual assault and sexual harassment training.
