Kikiaola Light Draft Harbor, Island of Kauai; Hawaii: Regional Sediment Management (RSM)

Abstract

This U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Regional Sediment Management Technical Note (RSM-TN) reviews the initial sand bypassing effort conducted by the State of Hawaii, Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation (DOBOR), at Kikiaola Light Draft Harbor (KLDH). DOBOR, as the harbors non-federal sponsor, implemented a sand bypass project in 2014 to help address the issues of sediment accretion up-drift of the harbor and erosion of the down-drift beaches.
