Abstract

Emotional Intelligence (EI) refers to a set of verbal and nonverbal abilities that allows all individuals, especially leaders, to use their emotions to guide thinking and action. It refers to the ability to recognize the meanings of emotions and their relationships, and to reason and problem-solve on the basis of them (Daus and Ashkanasy, 2003).
